Spotlight on Amanda Rositano, Surgical Coach

Meet Amanda and Natalie, Your Surgical Support Team

Your facial surgery journey at Younger Facial Surgery Centre begins with a team. Your first point of contact is Natalie, who welcomes you into the clinic, answers your early questions, and guides you through the first steps of the process. For many people, Natalie provides all the clarity and support they need.

But we also recognize that some patients may feel anxious, worried about recovery, overwhelmed by past experiences, or simply unsure how you will handle the process. To support you in those situations, we created a dedicated role: the Surgical Coach.

This is where you meet Amanda Rositano.

Amanda works digitally, connecting with you immediately after your in person consultation with Dr. Younger and your conversation with Natalie. She becomes an accessible, steady presence outside the flow of busy clinic days, ensuring you have someone to turn to whenever questions or emotions arise.

A Role Designed for Those Who Need More Support

Some patients need only occasional reassurance. Others need more structured guidance, frequent check ins, or someone who understands how anxiety, trauma, or past experiences show up during medical care.

Amanda was brought into the team specifically for this reason.

She is a formally trained, highly experienced social worker with a background supporting vulnerable groups in society. She works in a trauma informed way, which means she understands how previous traumatic experiences can shape your comfort level in surgical settings.

Many patients also find that they hesitate to disclose sensitive information out of fear of being judged. Amanda’s role helps create a safe space for those conversations and ensures you receive care that meets your emotional and psychological needs.

Her support is patient directed. Some people need just a bit more clarity or reassurance. Others reach out frequently during stressful moments. Amanda provides the level of support that you ask for, without pressure and without judgement.

How Amanda Supports You

Once your consultation is complete, Amanda reaches out digitally to walk with you through the next phase of your journey. She becomes an anchor for your questions and emotions outside of the clinic environment, where time and space are often limited.

She helps you understand:

  • What your preparation will look like
  • What you may feel emotionally and physically at each stage
  • How to recognize normal patterns of healing
  • When to reach out for help

Amanda’s guidance complements our educational resources and gives you a clear sense of what to expect.

A Safe Space for Honest Conversations

One of the most valuable aspects of Amanda’s role is her ability to support patients who have difficulty sharing personal history in clinical settings.

You may feel unsure whether certain experiences are relevant, or you may simply feel uncomfortable discussing them face to face.

Amanda gives you the opportunity to:

  • Share concerns that you might hesitate to express in the office
  • Clarify fears that are difficult to speak aloud
  • Express discomfort about physical touch
  • Ask questions repeatedly without feeling self conscious

Her trauma informed approach ensures you feel seen, heard, and supported.

Collaborating With Natalie, Amanda and Dr. Younger

Your care experience is a partnership. Natalie is your first guide through the clinic pathway, helping you gather information, prepare for your consultation, and understand procedural details.

Amanda deepens that support only when you need it, continuing the emotional, educational, and personal guidance that helps you feel secure. This layered approach provides flexibility: you receive exactly the level of support that fits you.

Her communication aligns with Dr. Younger’s commitment to clarity and honest expectations. Together, the team ensures that you feel informed, cared for, and never alone.

What This Means for Your Journey

Whether you need steady reassurance or simply an occasional check in, Amanda is there to help you navigate moments that feel uncertain. For patients with heightened anxiety, complex histories, or emotional sensitivities, her support can make all the difference.
