Dr. Ritchie Younger — Facial Plastic Surgeon in Vancouver
Skill, integrity, and honesty
Dr. Ritchie A. L. Younger is one of the leading facial plastic surgeons in Canada. He is well known for his high ethical standards and professional skills in facial plastic and reconstructive surgery.
Skill
With over 30 years of experience, Dr. Younger’s expertise and accomplishments include several surgical proprietary methods that he pioneered himself. This has made him an in-demand lecturer at prominent industry conferences where he shares the techniques he’s invented and honed.
Dr. Younger also has a discriminating eye for beauty and proportions. From rhinoplasty to facelifts and cancer reconstructions, Dr. Younger uses his refined surgical skill and sound judgment to perform operations that enhance what’s already there. The result is a more refined and balanced yet natural appearance and thousands of happy, satisfied patients.
Integrity
At the Younger Facial Surgery Centre, we never perform procedures that we feel are unnecessary. As an example, only one out of three patients is a candidate for a facelift, while the others are advised to wait and are given very effective nonsurgical alternatives. Dr. Younger works closely with patients to understand their needs and goals, and advises accordingly. He always performs a thorough assessment of your mental and physical readiness for facial surgery.
Honesty
As a surgeon, Dr. Younger takes pride in up-front, open honest patient communications. He doesn’t over promise or oversell; Dr. Younger speaks frankly with everyone who walks through the clinic doors. Because he sets realistic expectations, patients can make informed decisions about their surgery needs.

New Service: Virtual Pre-Consultation with Dr. Younger
Dr. Younger sees patients from northern BC, other provinces in Canada and to some extent, overseas. Please note that we have a new service to accommodate out-of-town patients who want to get a first pre-consultation with Dr. Younger, to discuss a potential procedure. This service will save you a trip to Vancouver but does not replace a consultation visit. The latter is required for a detailed clinical assessment of your face to see if you make a good candidate for certain procedures.
The pre-consultation takes place over Zoom (or similar app) and will allow you to have first initial discussion about the goals you want to accomplish. Having a visual interface will also allow the doctor to have a quick view on what it is you want to change about your appearance. During the Zoom session, you can ask questions and get expert feedback, thereby making a more informed decision about whether or not you want to travel to Vancouver, BC, to see Dr. Younger.
The Zoom session has a maximum limit of 30 minutes and is booked by email (info@youngerface.com) or by calling the office (604-738-3223). A fee will apply for the pre-consultation. If you book surgery, this fee will go towards the price of the surgery. Please contact our office for information about pricing about potential time and date.
Please note that we do not see American clients, since the BC College of Physicians will not insure any treating physicians in BC for treating patients from the US.
